Vanant is a carnation perfume from In Astra, composed by master perfumer Bertrand Duchaufour. He built it around his idea of a black carnation, deep and velvety, lit from within.

The name belongs to a star in the constellation Aquila. The perfumer treats it as a mystery, a star that holds everything in place by the force of its attraction. Black currant opens the scent with a dark, vibrant energy. The heart pairs black carnation with black rose. Myrrh, opoponax and birch tar close it with resin and a trace of smoke.

Vanant sits in the leather family. The eau de parfum comes in a 50 ml (1.7 fl oz) bottle and in a travel size of 11.5 ml (0.39 fl oz).
